The aFe 4-inch Aluminized Steel Cat-Back Exhaust System is designed to enhance the exhaust flow of the Ford F-150 V6 models from 2011 to 2013. Constructed from aluminized steel, this system features a single side exit configuration and a main tubing diameter of 4 inches, providing a significant reduction in exhaust flow restriction. The system is engineered to produce an aggressive and loud exhaust note, ideal for enthusiasts seeking a more commanding sound and improved performance. It includes a muffler delete pipe, allowing for a more free-flowing exhaust path, which can contribute to increased horsepower and torque. The absence of a muffler and tip emphasizes a racing-inspired aesthetic and sound profile, making it suitable for performance-oriented applications.

This cat-back exhaust system is a direct bolt-on upgrade for 2011-2013 Ford F-150 V6 trucks, particularly those with a diesel engine setup. It channels exhaust gases efficiently from the engine to the rear of the vehicle, optimizing flow and reducing backpressure. Designed for off-road, street, or performance use, this system is ideal for owners looking to improve exhaust sound and performance without extensive modifications. Installation involves replacing the factory exhaust components with this system, which is compatible with the stock mounting points. The kit includes the aluminized steel tubing and necessary hardware for a straightforward upgrade.

Overview

Atlas Aluminized Steel Cat-Back Exhaust System with Single Side Exit (49-03041NM) by aFe. Without Muffler and Tip. With Muffler Delete Pipe. Exhaust System Type: Cat-Back. Exhaust Tubing Material: Aluminized Steel. Main Tubing Diameter: 4". Exhaust System Sound: Aggressive / Loud. The ATLAS Exhaust System channels the exhaust from the engine to the rear of the vehicle on a racing diesel engine truck. It has the least amount of exhaust flow restriction possible to enable the engine to make more horsepower and torque and operate with reduced exhaust gas temperatures.

An off-road exhaust system must safely carry harmful exhaust gases to the rear of the vehicle, away from the driver. But it must do so with the least amount of restriction, for maximum airflow and power, under the most demanding conditions. To achieve this, the right pipe size and every bend must be carefully calculated.

aFe tests its systems on the flow bench and the dynamometer to determine the right pipe size and muffler construction. Then they mandrel bend the pipes to ensure they maintain their shape and size throughout the entire length, to provide smooth, unrestricted airflow. Tubes that are not mandrel bent can lose up to 20% of their diameter in sharp bends. A free-flowing 12" wide muffler is included in systems that feature a muffler. Some systems include a straight muffler delete pipe if a more aggressive sound and maximum flow is desired.

But performance is only part of the equation. A quality exhaust system should be easy to install and made to last. The muffler and all pipes of the ATLAS exhaust system are constructed from aluminized steel. To ensure a tight seal, slotted and swedged ends are used whenever possible. When used with the supplied premium quality band clamps, the tightest, leak-free seal is the result. Every hanger is thoroughly welded on each side to ensure a strong attachment and the hangers also feature swaged bayonet ends to lock in place once installed. The factory mounting locations are used throughout and a 2-piece tailpipe facilitates adjustment.

aFe (Advanced Flow Engineering, Inc.) manufactures performance products for late model cars, light trucks and SUVs.
