The MDV directional vanes direct airflow along the tank so that air flows across the full face of the intercooler. With airflow across the intercooler, heat transfer is more effective, with resulting lower air temperature. Without MDV, air just flows along the most direct path between the inlet and outlet, and the full face of the intercooler is not used.

The BladeRunner intercooler is 100% TIG welded by certified craftsmen for strength and durability. It's test pressure rated at 200psi, which is perfect for high boost applications. Four pre-tapped 1/8? ports are included for nitrous oxide systems, gauges or other applications.
