BladeRunner Ductile Iron Exhaust Manifold (46-40054) by aFe. Replace the exhaust manifold on your Dodge diesel with the BladeRunner manifold. It was created to address a cracking problem with the stock manifold, but it's so far advanced compared to the stock unit, you should replace your OEM manifold even if there's nothing wrong with it. The BladeRunner manifold will not only last far longer, it will improve performance and lower exhaust gas temperatures.
aFe designed the BladeRunner exhaust manifold for the 5.9L Dodge Diesel engine primarily to address a common problem with the factory manifold, which has a tendency to crack over time. But the end result is so superior to the original unit that it should be installed for the performance gain alone.
To solve the durability problem, aFe casts the BladeRunner from 304 stainless steel and makes the walls of the manifold thicker, 0.25" versus the stock 0.15". A reinforcing rib runs along the flange for additional strength. While they were at it, the engineers at aFe merged the exhaust runners for maximum flow, as much as 23% more than stock. The manifold features 2 EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) probe ports, so the EGT can be measured on each bank separately. The end result is increased exhaust flow that results in faster turbo spool-up, reduced EGTs, increased performance and improved throttle response.
The BladeRunner Exhaust Manifold comes complete with all mounting hardware and detailed installation instructions. It's backed by limited 2-year warranty.
aFe (Advanced Flow Engineering, Inc.) manufactures performance products for late model cars, light trucks and SUVs. The company was founded in 1999 with an initial concentration on high performance air filters. Since then, the company product line has broadened to include cold air intakes, fluid filters, exhaust systems, intake manifolds, intercoolers, programmers, differential covers, transmission pans and throttle body spacers. The team of engineers, machinists, production and sales people at aFe have many years of experience in their respective positions, and together work to ensure they produce the best automotive products on the market.
