Overview

AST Lowering Springs for the 1991-1994 Volkswagen Vento (MKIII/1HXO) are manufactured from a premium high tensile chromium-silicone wire which is handpicked by AST engineers for its quality and metal consistency.

Each spring is cold wound and then heat treated to increase hardness and reduce internal stresses present after winding. Each spring is then individually shot peened, phosphate treated and then powder coated to outlast even the life of the vehicle.

Note 1 Not suitable for 4WD (four-wheel drive) cars.
Note 2 For cars from 10/93, it may be necessary, due to different spring holder sizes on the front axle, to use the original spring holder (OEM Number 1HO-412-341).
Note 3 For 16V + VR6 and TDI, we recommend to change to sport shock absorbers.
Note 4 Not suitable for VR-6 models with Air Conditioning.
Note 5 The indicated lowering is the effective lowering. Standard lowering has already been considered.
