The Bilstein 5100 Shocks Set is a high-performance suspension upgrade designed for 4WD vehicles with a 3-4 inch lift. Featuring a monotube design with a 46mm digressive piston, these shocks provide improved handling both on and off-road. Constructed with a durable zinc plating for corrosion resistance, they reduce body roll and nose dive while offering increased compliance over bumps and rough terrain. The shocks are extended length to accommodate lifted suspensions, making them ideal for larger tires and lifted vehicles. Backed by a limited lifetime warranty, they are engineered for longevity and consistent performance under heavy loads, towing, and off-road conditions.

This set is specifically designed for 1973-1991 Chevrolet Blazer models with leaf springs and 4WD drive systems. It includes four shocks—two front and two rear—along with all necessary washers, bushings, reservoir clamps, and nuts for installation, with factory shock mounting bolts reused. Mounting plates are sold separately. These shocks are suitable for vehicles with larger wheels or higher centers of gravity, providing a versatile upgrade for off-road enthusiasts and daily drivers alike. They are not compatible with factory-spec vehicles, which should use Bilstein 4600 series shocks for optimal performance on pavement.

Bilstein 5100 shocks utilize a monotube design, with a 46mm digressive piston, to increase road handling characteristics both on and off-road. The single tube body allows for rapid heat transfer between the shock oil to the shock body, and then dissipated further to reduce shock fade. German engineering combined with US manufacturing ensures optimum performance and longevity for upwards of 100k miles (real customer feedback!). The 5100 series is more compliant in tougher situations and off-road terrain compared to the 4600 series. Factory spec vehicles should use the 4600 series shocks as the valving is more appropriate for daily driven vehicles and pavement environments.
