The Bilstein B8 5100 Monotube Shocks Front Pair are high-performance suspension components designed for 4WD GMC Sierra 1500 models from 1999 to 2006. Constructed with a monotube design and a 46mm digressive piston, these shocks provide enhanced handling both on and off-road. They are engineered to reduce body roll and nose dive, offering improved stability and ride quality while being more compliant over bumps and rough terrain. The zinc-plated finish ensures corrosion and rust resistance, making them suitable for harsh environments. These shocks are ideal for vehicles with larger tires or those lifted up to 2.5 inches, supporting increased loads, towing, and off-road adventures.
Designed specifically for vehicles at factory height or with up to 2.5-inch front lifts, these shocks fit models with torsion key lifts and exclude HD versions. Bilstein 5100 shocks utilize a monotube design, with a 46mm digressive piston, to increase road handling characteristics both on and off-road. The single tube body allows for rapid heat transfer between the shock oil to the shock body, and then dissipated further to reduce shock fade. German engineering combined with US manufacturing ensures optimum performance and longevity for upwards of 100k miles (real customer feedback!). The 5100 series is more compliant in tougher situations and off-road terrain compared to the 4600 series. Factory spec vehicles should use the 4600 series shocks as the valving is more appropriate for daily driven vehicles and pavement environments.
