The Bilstein B8 5100 Monotube Shocks Front Pair are high-performance suspension components designed for lifted Jeep Wranglers. Engineered with a monotube design and a 46mm digressive piston, these shocks provide improved handling both on and off-road. They are built with a zinc-plated finish for corrosion resistance and feature an extended length suitable for 3.5-5" front lift systems. These shocks reduce body roll and nose dive, offering enhanced stability and ride quality while handling increased loads, towing, and rugged terrain. Their durable construction ensures long-lasting performance, making them ideal for lifted vehicles with larger tires and off-road use.
Compatible with 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK models with 4WD or RWD configurations, these shocks are suitable for vehicles equipped with Long Arm Lift Kits. They are a direct bolt-on replacement, reusing factory shock mounting bolts, with all necessary washers, bushings, reservoir clamps, and nuts included. Designed for vehicles with larger wheels and tires or higher center of gravity, they are perfect for off-road adventures or daily driving that demands superior suspension performance. Factory hardware is required for installation, and mounting plates are sold separately. These shocks are an excellent upgrade for lifted Jeep Wranglers seeking enhanced handling and durability.

[Blog Post: Bilstein 5100 vs. 4600, Major Differences](https://www.shocksurplus.com/pages/bilstein-4600-vs-5100-series-the-lowdown)
Bilstein 5100 shocks utilize a monotube design, with a 46mm digressive piston, to increase road handling characteristics both on and off-road. The single tube body allows for rapid heat transfer between the shock oil to the shock body, and then dissipated further to reduce shock fade. German engineering combined with US manufacturing ensures optimum performance and longevity for upwards of 100k miles (real customer feedback!). The 5100 series is more compliant in tougher situations and off-road terrain compared to the 4600 series. Factory spec vehicles should use the 4600 series shocks as the valving is more appropriate for daily driven vehicles and pavement environments.
