Constructed with a durable zinc plating, they offer excellent corrosion and rust resistance in harsh environments. Suitable for lifted vehicles with larger tires, the B8 5100 shocks are engineered to handle heavy-duty loads, towing, and off-road terrain, ensuring long-lasting performance and reliability. The shocks feature a factory-style installation with all necessary hardware, including washers, bushings, reservoir clamps, and nuts, reusing factory shock mounting bolts for a straightforward bolt-on upgrade.
Designed specifically for 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 Classic RWD models with coil spring front suspension, these shocks are compatible with vehicles equipped with a 3-6 inch front lift. They are intended for use on RWD vehicles and exclude HD models. Ideal for lifted trucks used in daily driving, off-road adventures, or towing, the B8 5100 shocks improve ride quality and stability. The package includes two shocks, providing a direct replacement for factory units, with factory hardware included. These shocks are not suitable for factory-spec vehicles without modifications, and mounting plates are sold separately. Bilstein 5100 shocks utilize a monotube design, with a 46mm digressive piston, to increase road handling characteristics both on and off-road. The single tube body allows for rapid heat transfer between the shock oil to the shock body, and then dissipated further to reduce shock fade. German engineering combined with US manufacturing ensures optimum performance and longevity for upwards of 100k miles (real customer feedback!). The 5100 series is more compliant in tougher situations and off-road terrain compared to the 4600 series. Factory spec vehicles should use the 4600 series shocks as the valving is more appropriate for daily driven vehicles and pavement environments.
