These shocks are specifically designed for 1999-2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4WD vehicles with a 4-6 inch lift, excluding HD models. They are a direct bolt-on replacement, reusing factory hardware such as shock mounting bolts, washers, bushings, reservoir clamps, and nuts—mounting plates are sold separately. The 5100 series is more compliant in tougher situations and off-road terrain compared to the 4600 series. Factory spec vehicles should use the 4600 series shocks as the valving is more appropriate for daily driven vehicles and pavement environments.
