The BMR Suspension SB042 rear sway bar kit is a high-performance component designed to enhance handling by controlling body roll and influencing understeer or oversteer behavior. Constructed from heavy-wall 25mm DOM tubing and cold formed for increased torsional fatigue resistance, this sway bar offers improved durability and consistency over stock options. CNC-formed for precise manufacturing tolerances, it includes fabricated end links and 88-durometer polyurethane bushings that reduce deflection compared to rubber mounts. The sway bar is four-way adjustable, allowing fine-tuning of torsional spring rate to optimize vehicle handling characteristics for various driving conditions.
This sway bar kit is specifically designed for 2011–2014 S197 Mustang models. It attaches with fabricated end links and polyurethane bushings, providing a direct bolt-on upgrade that enhances stability and cornering performance. Suitable for street and track use, it helps achieve a balanced handling setup by adjusting torsional stiffness. The kit includes the sway bar, end links, and bushings, making it an ideal upgrade for Mustang enthusiasts seeking improved responsiveness and reduced body roll during aggressive driving or spirited street use.

Overview
Overview
The two primary functions of sway bars are to control body roll and to determine the understeer or oversteer behavior of a vehicle. Stock sway bars have low torsional spring rates because they are manufactured from small diameter bar stock or tubing. BMR Suspensions SB042 rear sway bar was designed by factoring in the vehicle weight, application, motion ratio, coil spring rate, and adjustability requirements. Manufactured from heavy-wall 25mm DOM tubing, the SB042 is cold formed to better resist torsional fatigue and retain its "memory" far longer than the hot-formed bars used by many competitors. The sway bar is CNC-formed for exact manufacturing tolerances and repeatable high quality. The SB042 attaches to your Mustang with fabricated end links and 88-durometer polyurethane bushings, reducing the deflection from the stock rubber bushings. These bushings are molded from 88-durometer, low-deflection, polyurethane, and are internally fluted to keeps grease in the bushing. The fabricated laser cut, TIG-welded steel sway bar end links are reinforced to minimize deflection. The sway bar is 4-way adjustable to tune the amount of torsional spring rate and to determine the handling characteristics (understeer/oversteer) of the vehicle.
