The BMR Suspension SB028H is a front and rear sway bar kit designed to enhance handling performance by controlling body roll and influencing understeer or oversteer behavior. Constructed from heavy-duty, solid 32mm bar stock for the front and 1-inch bar stock for the rear, this kit features cold-formed components that resist torsional fatigue and maintain their shape over time. The sway bars are CNC-formed to ensure precise manufacturing tolerances and high-quality consistency. The front sway bar mounts using polyurethane bushings molded from 88-durometer, low-deflection polyurethane, which are internally fluted to retain grease and reduce noise. Reinforced steel brackets further minimize deflection, providing durability and improved handling response.

This sway bar kit is suitable for 1964–1972 A-body vehicles, including models such as the Chevelle, El Camino, and GTO, among others. It is designed with vehicle weight, application, motion ratio, and coil spring rate in mind, making it an ideal upgrade for enthusiasts seeking improved cornering and stability. The kit mounts directly to the factory locations, with the front attaching via polyurethane bushings and the rear mounting to the lower control arms. Suitable for street and performance driving, this kit offers a bolt-on installation that enhances vehicle dynamics without requiring extensive modifications.

Overview

The two primary functions of sway bars are to control body roll and to determine the understeer or oversteer behavior of a vehicle. Stock sway bars have low torsional spring rates because they are manufactured from small diameter bar stock or tubing. BMR Suspensions SB028 front and rear sway bar kit was designed by factoring in the vehicle weight, application, motion ratio, and coil spring rate. Manufactured from heavy-duty, solid 32mm bar stock (front) and solid 1-inch bar stock 9rear), the SB028 is cold formed to better resist torsional fatigue and retain its "memory" far longer than the hot-formed bars used by many competitors. The sway bars are CNC-formed for exact manufacturing tolerances and repeatable high quality. The front sway bar mounts to the car using polyurethane bushings. These bushings are molded from 88-durometer, low-deflection, polyurethane, and are internally fluted to keeps grease in the bushing. The steel sway bar mounting brackets are reinforced to minimize deflection. The rear sway bar mounts to the rear lower control arm in the factory location.
