The BMR Suspension 67-69 1st Gen F-Body Rear Lowering Leaf Springs are performance-oriented leaf springs designed to improve handling and stance. Featuring a 2-inch drop, three leafs, and a 190 lb/in spring rate, these springs reduce body roll and lower the vehicle’s center of gravity. Constructed with precise clamp locations and Teflon antifriction pads, they minimize wheel hop and axle wrap, resulting in better traction and smoother operation. These springs are an upgrade over stock components, offering enhanced durability, reduced NVH, and improved rear suspension control for street performance, drag racing, and handling applications. Each set includes new bushings in the front and rear, ensuring a quiet, responsive ride while reducing deflection caused by worn-out bushings.
Designed for 1967-1969 first-generation F-body models, these springs are a direct bolt-on replacement that reuses your original hardware or can be paired with BMR’s hardware kit (RH015) for a complete upgrade. Suitable for street, track, and performance driving, they help lower the vehicle’s rear end for an aggressive stance and improved handling. The kit includes three leaf springs with bushings, and the design is optimized for applications requiring axle location, pinion angle setting, and rearend movement control. These springs are ideal for enthusiasts seeking a reliable, high-performance upgrade to enhance both appearance and driving dynamics on classic F-body vehicles.

Overview
Overview
Leaf springs do much more than simply supporting the weight of the vehicle. They are responsible for locating the axle, setting pinion angle, and controlling rearend movement. This makes them a critical part of the rear suspension. BMR's leaf springs give a superior option to stock leaf springs that sag, rust, and do little to control axle wrap and wheelhop as they get older. The SP057 feature a 2-inch drop, three leafs, and a 190 lb/in spring rate, which reduces body roll without increasing rear oversteer. This commonly happens with too much spring rate. BMR's spring design, combined with precise clamp locations give you less wheel hop and more axle control. This design reduces axle wrap, which causes the spring to load and unload. By eliminating this oscillation, wheel hop is minimized and traction is improved. Each spring comes with new bushings in the front and rear. Other companies make you buy rear bushings separately, but BMR includes them. The SP057 leaf springs also come with Teflon antifriction pads for smooth, quiet travel through the spring's range of motion, which further reduces NVH. BMR designed the SP057s for street performance, drag race, and handling applications. Lowering springs are not only a great way to add an aggressive look to your 1st-Gen F-body, but they also improve the handling capabilities at the same time. By adding BMR's 2-inch drop leaf springs, you will lower the rear center of gravity and reduce body roll, which improves handling. New bushings greatly reduce the deflection seen in old worn out bushings. New rubber bushings in the front give you a smooth quiet ride, and the polyurethane rear bushings improve handling. To complete the install, you can reuse your original hardware, or purchase new hardware from BMR (RH015), which includes new U-bolts, polyurethane spring pads, stainless steel shackles. Combine with BMR front lowering springs for a level, aggressive stance with huge improvements in handling and performance.
