The Cusco LSD Type-RS 1.5 F&R Front is a high-performance limited slip differential designed for Honda Civic FD2 models equipped with K20 or K24 engines. Engineered to optimize traction, this LSD features adjustable settings that can be modified through a simple overhaul, allowing drivers to tailor the differential response to their driving style or track conditions. The Type RS model employs springs that absorb initial torque, providing a smoother engagement compared to the Type MZ. Its lower friction design ensures more efficient power transfer to the wheels, reducing power loss and enhancing overall grip. This differential is ideal for enthusiasts seeking improved handling, reduced lap times, and better control during spirited driving or racing scenarios.
Compatible with Honda Civic FD2 models from 2006 to 2011, this LSD is a direct replacement for the factory differential, offering a bolt-on installation for ease of upgrade. It is suitable for street, track, or competitive use, especially in applications where enhanced traction and torque transfer are critical. The unit includes the necessary components for installation and is designed to withstand demanding driving conditions. Whether for daily driving or performance tuning, the Cusco LSD Type-RS provides a reliable, adjustable solution to maximize vehicle grip and stability on various surfaces.

Overview
A Cusco Limited Slip Differential offers the absolute best in traction. Cusco LSD allow you to choose 2 of 3 settings with each unit just with a simple overhaul. The Type RS springs absorb the initial torque. Compared to the Type MZ, the Type RS s initial torque comes on more gently. The response of the RS has lower friction and in turn, is transfers power to the ground more efficiently. The Low Initial Torque means Less Power Loss. This equates to lower lap times, even for a mildly tuned vehicle. The low pressure on the clutch plates improves durability and lowers chatter. To top it off, the reduced pressure allows the driver to change the LSD oil less frequently. Steady coil movement is assured by special precision springs set in the pressure plate. These springs are made to be resilient and allow for stable operation. Because these plates do not utilize a cone clutch, they do not stick and allow for increased longevity. The Type RS transfers extreme power without slipping and responds quickly with pedal inputs. This differential is ideal for drag racing or going for drifting. Contact Us with any questions..
Cusco recommends the following setups for the following drivetrains.
- 1 way LSD: Specially suited for front wheel drive cars and AWD front axle cars.Activates under acceleration, and acts as a true LSD when the throttle is off.
- 1.5 way LSD: Activates under acceleration with less under-steer under deceleration than on a 2 way LSD. Recommended for those who want to reduce under-steer.
- 2 way LSD: Recommended on rear wheel drive cars and AWD rear axle cars. Activates on both acceleration and deceleration. Recommended for those who prefer aggressive driving and big angle drifting.
