The Cusco LSD Type-RS 1.5 Way F without Viscous ACD is a high-performance limited slip differential designed to enhance traction and handling for Subaru Evo 8 and 9 CT9A models. Engineered with adjustable settings, this LSD allows users to select two of three configurations through a simple overhaul, providing versatile tuning options. The Type RS features springs that absorb initial torque, resulting in a smoother engagement compared to the Type MZ. Its lower friction design ensures more efficient power transfer to the wheels, reducing power loss and improving overall grip. This differential is built to deliver precise response and improved lap times, making it ideal for spirited driving and track use.
Designed specifically for Evo 8 and 9 CT9A models, the Cusco LSD fits vehicles equipped with the appropriate drivetrain and chassis configurations. It serves as a direct upgrade or replacement for the stock differential, offering enhanced traction and cornering performance. The unit is suitable for street, track, or performance driving, providing reliable operation under demanding conditions. Installation involves standard bolt-on procedures, and the kit includes the necessary components for a straightforward upgrade. This LSD is perfect for enthusiasts seeking improved handling and reduced power loss during aggressive driving or competitive racing.

Overview
A Cusco Limited Slip Differential offers the absolute best in traction. Cusco LSD allow you to choose 2 of 3 settings with each unit just with a simple overhaul. The Type RS springs absorb the initial torque. Compared to the Type MZ, the Type RS s initial torque comes on more gently. The response of the RS has lower friction and in turn, is transfers power to the ground more efficiently. The Low Initial Torque means Less Power Loss. This equates to lower lap times, even for a mildly tuned vehicle. The low pressure on the clutch plates improves durability and lowers chatter. To top it off, the reduced pressure allows the driver to change the LSD oil less frequently. Steady coil movement is assured by special precision springs set in the pressure plate. These springs are made to be resilient and allow for stable operation. Because these plates do not utilize a cone clutch, they do not stick and allow for increased longevity. The Type RS transfers extreme power without slipping and responds quickly with pedal inputs. This differential is ideal for drag racing or going for drifting. Contact Us with any questions..
Cusco recommends the following setups for the following drivetrains.
- 1 way LSD: Specially suited for front wheel drive cars and AWD front axle cars.Activates under acceleration, and acts as a true LSD when the throttle is off.
- 1.5 way LSD: Activates under acceleration with less under-steer under deceleration than on a 2 way LSD. Recommended for those who want to reduce under-steer.
- 2 way LSD: Recommended on rear wheel drive cars and AWD rear axle cars. Activates on both acceleration and deceleration. Recommended for those who prefer aggressive driving and big angle drifting.
