The Cusco LSD Type-RS 1 Way F is a limited slip differential designed to enhance traction and handling for Mitsubishi Evo 8 and 9 CT9A models. Engineered with adjustable settings, this LSD allows users to select two of three configurations through a simple overhaul, providing customizable performance. The Type RS features springs that absorb initial torque, resulting in a smoother engagement compared to the Type MZ. Its lower friction design ensures more efficient power transfer to the wheels, reducing power loss and improving lap times even on mildly tuned vehicles. Constructed with high-quality materials, this differential offers durability and consistent performance under demanding driving conditions, making it an ideal upgrade for enthusiasts seeking improved grip and responsiveness.
The Cusco LSD Type-RS 1 Way F is compatible with Mitsubishi Evo 8 and 9 models, specifically the CT9A chassis, and is suitable for use in street, track, or spirited driving scenarios. It provides a bolt-on installation as a direct replacement for the stock differential, with no additional modifications required. The unit allows for easy adjustment of engagement settings, enabling drivers to tailor the differential response to their driving style. This LSD is particularly beneficial for performance applications where optimal traction and reduced power loss are critical, such as cornering on the track or aggressive street driving. The kit includes the differential assembly and necessary components for installation, ensuring a straightforward upgrade process.

Overview
A Cusco Limited Slip Differential offers the absolute best in traction. Cusco LSD allow you to choose 2 of 3 settings with each unit just with a simple overhaul. The Type RS springs absorb the initial torque. Compared to the Type MZ, the Type RS s initial torque comes on more gently. The response of the RS has lower friction and in turn, is transfers power to the ground more efficiently. The Low Initial Torque means Less Power Loss. This equates to lower lap times, even for a mildly tuned vehicle. The low pressure on the clutch plates improves durability and lowers chatter. To top it off, the reduced pressure allows the driver to change the LSD oil less frequently. Steady coil movement is assured by special precision springs set in the pressure plate. These springs are made to be resilient and allow for stable operation. Because these plates do not utilize a cone clutch, they do not stick and allow for increased longevity. The Type RS transfers extreme power without slipping and responds quickly with pedal inputs. This differential is ideal for drag racing or going for drifting. Contact Us with any questions..
Cusco recommends the following setups for the following drivetrains.
- 1 way LSD: Specially suited for front wheel drive cars and AWD front axle cars.Activates under acceleration, and acts as a true LSD when the throttle is off.
- 1.5 way LSD: Activates under acceleration with less under-steer under deceleration than on a 2 way LSD. Recommended for those who want to reduce under-steer.
- 2 way LSD: Recommended on rear wheel drive cars and AWD rear axle cars. Activates on both acceleration and deceleration. Recommended for those who prefer aggressive driving and big angle drifting.
