The Cusco LSD Type-RS 2 Way Rear is a high-performance limited slip differential designed for Nissan Skyline V36, 350Z Z33, and 370Z Z34 models from 2009 to 2014. Engineered to optimize traction, this LSD features adjustable settings that can be modified with a simple overhaul, allowing drivers to tailor the differential response to their driving style. The Type RS utilizes springs to absorb initial torque, providing a smoother engagement compared to the Type MZ. Its lower friction design ensures more efficient power transfer to the wheels, reducing power loss and enhancing acceleration. This differential is ideal for enthusiasts seeking improved handling, reduced lap times, and better grip on both street and track conditions.
Compatible with 2009–2014 Nissan Skyline V36, 350Z Z33, and 370Z Z34 vehicles, the Cusco LSD Type-RS is a direct replacement for the factory differential. It is suitable for street, track, and spirited driving, offering a reliable upgrade for performance-oriented applications. Installation involves a straightforward bolt-on process, and the unit is designed to work seamlessly with the vehicle’s existing drivetrain components. The differential provides two of three selectable settings, giving drivers flexibility to optimize traction based on driving conditions. This LSD is an excellent choice for those looking to enhance cornering stability and overall vehicle responsiveness.

Overview
A Cusco Limited Slip Differential offers the absolute best in traction. Cusco LSD allow you to choose 2 of 3 settings with each unit just with a simple overhaul. The Type RS springs absorb the initial torque. Compared to the Type MZ, the Type RS s initial torque comes on more gently. The response of the RS has lower friction and in turn, is transfers power to the ground more efficiently. The Low Initial Torque means Less Power Loss. This equates to lower lap times, even for a mildly tuned vehicle. The low pressure on the clutch plates improves durability and lowers chatter. To top it off, the reduced pressure allows the driver to change the LSD oil less frequently. Steady coil movement is assured by special precision springs set in the pressure plate. These springs are made to be resilient and allow for stable operation. Because these plates do not utilize a cone clutch, they do not stick and allow for increased longevity. The Type RS transfers extreme power without slipping and responds quickly with pedal inputs. This differential is ideal for drag racing or going for drifting. Contact Us with any questions..
Cusco recommends the following setups for the following drivetrains.
- 1 way LSD: Specially suited for front wheel drive cars and AWD front axle cars.Activates under acceleration, and acts as a true LSD when the throttle is off.
- 1.5 way LSD: Activates under acceleration with less under-steer under deceleration than on a 2 way LSD. Recommended for those who want to reduce under-steer.
- 2 way LSD: Recommended on rear wheel drive cars and AWD rear axle cars. Activates on both acceleration and deceleration. Recommended for those who prefer aggressive driving and big angle drifting.
