The Cusco Type RS Limited Slip Differential (LSD) for the CT9A Mitsubishi Evo 7/8 is a high-performance drivetrain component designed to enhance traction and handling. This 1.5-way LSD allows drivers to select two of three settings through a simple overhaul, providing customizable performance characteristics. Built with Cusco's renowned engineering, it features low initial torque to minimize power loss, resulting in improved lap times even on mildly tuned vehicles. The design emphasizes durability and smooth engagement by reducing clutch plate pressure, which also lowers chatter and extends service intervals. This differential is ideal for enthusiasts seeking precise control and improved cornering performance on both street and track.

Compatible with 2001-2005 Mitsubishi Evo 7 and 8 models, this LSD is a direct upgrade for the rear axle. It is suitable for use in racing, spirited driving, or high-performance street applications where enhanced traction is desired. Installation involves replacing the stock differential with the Cusco Type RS unit, ensuring a straightforward bolt-on process for qualified technicians. The kit includes the LSD assembly and necessary components for installation. Designed for vehicles with a focus on performance and durability, this differential provides improved grip and handling, making it an excellent choice for competitive or enthusiast driving.

Overview

1.5-Way Type RS Limited Slip Differential

If you need the absolute best in traction, a Cusco Limited Slip Differential is what you seek. Cusco LSDs allow you to chose 2 of 3 settings with each unit just with a simple overhaul.

The Low Initial Torque means Less Power Loss. This equates to lower lap times, even for a mildly tuned vehicle. The low pressure on the clutch plates improves durability and lowers chatter. To top it off, the reduced pressure allows the driver to change the LSD oil less frequently.

The Type RS transfers extreme power without slipping and responds quickly with pedal inputs. This differential is perfect, whether you're drag racing or going for huge drifts.

A 1.5-way LSD activates fully under acceleration, but does not activate fully under deceleration. This decreases understeer compared to a 2-way LSD. This is recommended for drivers having difficulty with 2-way LSD understeer, or the braking on a one-way LSD.
