▶ Vehicle Fitments
The DBA 5000 Series D&S 2-piece rotor for the Corvette ZR1 (09) is a high-performance brake component designed to enhance stopping power and durability. Constructed with a focus on thermal management and consistent braking performance, these rotors feature a two-piece design that allows for improved heat dissipation and reduced weight. The DBA 5000 Series rotors are engineered to withstand aggressive driving conditions, making them suitable for both street and track use. Their robust construction ensures long-lasting performance, while the D&S (Dimple and Slot) pattern aids in debris removal and pad grip, contributing to improved braking response and fade resistance.
This rotor is intended for use on the 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, but vehicle fitment should be verified through precise measurements, as fitment may vary depending on the brake package. It is a direct replacement for the stock rotors, offering an upgrade in performance and heat management. Installation is typically bolt-on, requiring standard tools and procedures. The kit includes the rotor assembly, but compatibility with specific brake calipers and hubs should be confirmed prior to installation. Ideal for enthusiasts seeking improved braking performance on street or track, these rotors provide a reliable upgrade for demanding driving conditions.

Notes Regarding Vehicle Compatibility:
Vehicle fitment provided in this listing is to be used as a rough guide only and may not actually suit your vehicle. Due to multiple brake packages sometimes being offered by manufacturers it may be necessary to measure your existing brake discs and/or pads and compare with the measurements provided by DBA here:

Sharing all the benefits of the 4000 Series, DBA's 5000 Series rotors are a composite 2 piece direct replacement brake rotor. DBA uses only the highest quality materials to ensure optimal performance under the most strenuous circumstances, combining high carbon cast-iron rings with aerospace grade aluminium hats (T6061-T6), held together with National Aerospace Standards (NAS) bolts and crimp nuts.
The 5000 Series share all of the performance technology featured in the 4000 Series, with the added benefits of further weight reduction and improved heat management via aluminium hats.
DBA's 5000 XS Series is a premium cross-drilled and slotted pattern designed to work in conjunction with DBA's patented Kangaroo Paw ventilation system.
The XS pattern increases the number of out-gassing exit points to allow brake pad friction gasses to escape through. This increases the consistency and effectiveness of every brake stop.
These rotors also feature DBA's proprietary XG-150 high carbon alloyed iron and Thermal Stability Profiling (TSP) which prolongs the service life of the rotor.
DBA's revolutionary universal drill and slot design eliminates the need for separate left and right slot designs seen in traditional rotor designs.
For the spirited driver or performance modified street vehicle, the XS cross-drilled and slotted design is the best option.
Features (Where Applicable):
2-Piece Design with Aerospace grade aluminium hats (T6061-T6)
- The use of aerospace grade aluminium hats reduces the unsprung weight of the brake rotors, while allowing for uniform radial disc expansion through the cast iron rings, and reduced heat transfer from disc to hub via the aluminium hats.
Kangaroo Paw 144 diamond and tear drop pillar ventilation system
- Increased surface area resulting in greater heat dissipation which minimises brake fade and increases braking effectiveness and prolongs service life for both pads and rotors. Reduces mechanical damage and associated costs
XS precision CNC machined slots and cross drilling
- Increased number of out-gassing exit points for brake pad friction gasses to escape through increases the consistency and effectiveness of every brake stop.
- Universal drill and slot design eliminates the need for left and right discs
XG150 High Carbon Alloyed Iron
- An increase in thermal capacity property allows the rotor to handle constant extremes of heat over extended periods of time which minimises warping and cracking and prolongs the service life of the rotor.
- Special formulation designed to respond to DBA's TSP process.
Thermographic Temperature Monitoring
- Heat paint markings change colour at specific temperature thresholds offers the driver a clear indication of peak braking temperatures.
- When temperature thresholds are exceeded paint markings will permanently change colours allowing the driver to monitor rotor fatigue and decide on rotor replacement and to assist resellers with warranty claims.
Paint protection on non-friction areas
- Reduces corrosion, enhances appearance, stops any unsightly rust formation, adds value to the product.
