The EBC BSD rear brake rotors are high-performance replacement discs designed for the BMW E36 Z3 models, including 2.5, 2.8, and 3.5 variants. Constructed from discalloy, these rotors feature a thermic black coating that provides lifetime corrosion-proof protection, ensuring durability and consistent performance over time. The design incorporates bi-directional venting for superior cooling and self-cleaning capabilities, which help maintain optimal braking efficiency. The blade slot configuration effectively removes hot gases from the braking zone, resulting in quieter operation and improved pad contact. These rotors are engineered to enhance braking response, reduce heat buildup, and extend component lifespan, making them suitable for spirited driving and demanding conditions.
Designed specifically for 2011–2025 BMW E36 Z3 models with compatible engine configurations, these rotors are a direct replacement for stock rear discs. They are ideal for street use, track days, or spirited driving, offering improved cooling and corrosion resistance. Installation is straightforward as they are bolt-on replacements, requiring no additional modifications. The kit includes the rotors alone, designed to fit seamlessly with existing brake components. Suitable for enthusiasts seeking reliable, long-lasting brake performance, these BSD rotors deliver enhanced stopping power and reduced brake fade under demanding driving conditions.

EBC BSD brake discs are corrosion proof with silent braking
EBC Brakes range of BSD brake disc rotors feature a lifetime corrosion proof protection with a special thermic black coating. They are made from ‘discalloy’ and feature bi-directional venting to provide better cooling and self cleaning. The specifically designed blade slot helps to remove hot gases efficiently away from the braking zone. This works much more effectively than uni-directional slot and makes the brake pads lie flatter, thus keeping the brakes cooler in general. The wind noise that is caused by the brakes is also reduced to a minimum thanks to the multiple overlap blade slots.
The car shown here has been equipped with the new BSD and Yellowstuff brake pads.

EBC BSD disc rotors work well with EBC brake pads, in particular Greenstuff Brake Pads or Redstuff Ceramic Brake Pads for everyday or spirited road driving use. In particular as shown in the above photographs, BSD disc rotors work extremely well with Yellowstuff brake pads to provide a high performance set up, ready to cope with faster stopping power, cool running with less thermal distortions.
