The Fleece Performance 03-07 Ford Super Duty 6.0L Powerstroke 18mm Dowel Freedom Series HD Cylinder Head is a high-performance replacement component designed to enhance durability and longevity. Engineered with improved casting from a higher tensile strength alloy, it features increased wall thickness and additional material in critical areas for increased strength. The race-proven, American-made valve seats are produced from tungsten alloy, offering significantly higher wear resistance and stability compared to OEM parts. The cylinder head also incorporates a unique single-piece hoop style O-ring, ensuring complete combustion sealing without seams, which improves reliability and performance under extreme conditions.
This cylinder head is specifically designed for 2003-2007 Ford Super Duty trucks equipped with the 6.0L Powerstroke engine. It is configured for 2-bolt rocker box setups and is recommended for use with 6.4L pushrods (Ford Part No. 8C3Z-6565-B) to accommodate installation tolerances. The head gasket is not included, with Ford Part No. KZ3Z-6051-B recommended for sealing. Suitable for heavy-duty applications such as towing, off-road, or performance upgrades, this direct replacement component ensures enhanced durability and engine stability for your Powerstroke diesel engine.

Improved casting. This isn’t your run of the mill, rinse and repeat OE casting. Engineered from the ground up with years of testing and development - our higher tensile strength alloy castings incorporate increased wall thickness and additional material where it counts, providing for a more durable and longer lasting cylinder head. Extreme duty valve seats. Race proven and stronger than OEM – our American made valve seats provide for longevity and stability in the cylinder head. Produced from a tungsten alloy for increased hardness, these seats deliver a substantially higher wear resistance vs. a stock replacement seat. Single piece O-ring. Our 6.0L cylinder head is the only cylinder head available with a single piece hoop style O-ring. Our single piece O-ring ensures complete sealing of combustion vs. traditional stainless wire that has a seam. Application Notes All 20mm dowel heads are configured for 2-bolt rocker box configurations. Fleece Performance recommends the use of 6.4L pushrods (Ford Part No. 8C3Z-6565-B) when installing these cylinder heads. 6.4L pushrods are 0.050” shorter in length vs. a 6.0L pushrod and will accommodate the tolerance stack ups that can be encountered with a replacement cylinder head. Head gasket not included. We recommend the use of Ford Part No.KZ3Z-6051-B. Cylinder Head Identification - Selecting the proper model Follow the flow chart below to determine the appropriate cylinder head and components for your application (this information may also be found in our installation instructions). The engine serial number can be found on the rear, driver’s side of the engine block. An alternate location for the engine serial number can be found on the identification sticker located on top of the fuel injector control module (FICM). This only applies for vehicles with their original FICM. If you are unsure if the FICM is original to the vehicle, read the serial number on the back of the engine block.
