The Girodisc Front 2-piece 380mm floating rotors are high-performance replacement components designed specifically for the Ferrari 430 Challenge. Crafted to match or exceed OEM specifications, these rotors feature a cast iron braking surface paired with a lightweight 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum hat section, which helps reduce unsprung weight and improve brake response. The floating design ensures optimal heat dissipation and consistent braking performance during intense driving conditions. Designed to fit Ferrari 430 Challenge models, these rotors are compatible with 18-inch wheel and tire packages. Installation requires only a minor modification: replacing the factory shouldered caliper studs with the 430 road car spec brake caliper bolts to lower the caliper and accommodate the 380mm rotor. The system serves as a direct replacement for the original discs, offering improved cooling and braking efficiency. Suitable for track days, performance driving, or demanding street use, these rotors deliver reliable, high-performance stopping power with a straightforward bolt-on upgrade.

Overview

The Girodisc system is a 380mm direct replacement for the OE disc to allow the use of 18" wheel/tire packages. The only modification necessary is to swap out the factory shouldered caliper studs for the 430 road car spec brake caliper bolts, lowering the caliper to allow the use of a 380mm rotor. The central hat section of the disc is made from 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum.  The disc is made from cast iron, constructed in the USA and is made to the same specification and material as used by professional racing organizations.It is a curved vane design, developed in racing to act as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc.The rotor and hat have a floating mount system, which utilizes 8 or 10 high strength alloy steel drive pins, manufactured by Girodisc in the USA to our own specifications and cadmium plated for a long lasting corrosion resistance. These pins take the load from braking actions while maintaining the axial and radial float between the hat and disc. The pins are secured by grade 12 cap screws with hardened washers. In order to keep the rotors from making noise when cold, the pins are mounted with anti-noise spring washers on the rotor side which allow the rotor to grow with heat expansion but eliminate the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors. This float also allows the rotor to self center between the pads.Once the Girodisc system is in place, simply replace the cast iron rotor when needed. Sold/priced per pair.
