The GReddy Oil Cooler Kit Standard 10 Stage Circuit Spec for 2022-2024 Subaru BRZ and GR86 is a high-performance cooling solution designed to enhance oil temperature regulation during demanding driving conditions. Engineered through extensive circuit testing, this kit provides reliable cooling for both street driving and track use, helping to maintain optimal engine performance and longevity. The kit features durable construction with high-quality components, including the Earl's Pro Lite 350 hoses, which are approximately 40% lighter than standard stainless steel mesh hoses. This reduction in weight minimizes front overhang load, contributing to improved handling and vehicle balance. The flame-retardant nylon mesh hoses offer flexibility and body-friendly installation, ensuring a secure fit and efficient heat dissipation.

Designed specifically for the 2022-2024 Subaru BRZ and GR86 models, this oil cooler kit is a direct bolt-on upgrade that requires no additional modifications. It is suitable for use in various driving scenarios, from daily commuting to competitive circuit racing, where effective oil cooling is critical. The kit includes all necessary components for installation, ensuring a straightforward setup process. Compatible with vehicles equipped with the specified engine configurations, this oil cooler kit enhances cooling capacity and overall engine reliability, making it an ideal upgrade for enthusiasts seeking improved performance and durability on the street or track.

Overview

This Greddy oil cooler kit has been developed through repeated circuit testing and is designed for everything from street driving to time attacks on the circuit.

EARL'S PRO LITE 350, which is used for oil cooler hoses, is approximately 40% lighter than general stainless steel mesh hoses of the same length, reducing the load increase of the front overhang and thus the impact on handling. In addition, the flame-retardant nylon mesh hose is flexible and less aggressive to the body, making it easier to pass under complex headlights and inside bumpers, improving workability.

The oil block where the oil line is taken out and the oil cooler core are connected not with the conventional female-male-female connection method, but with the development of a "direct fitting" that allows direct piping to each part, realizing a stress-free oil line. In addition, by reducing the number of connection points, troubles such as oil leaks are minimized.

Generally, water-cooled oil coolers, due to their structure, tend to suppress the rise in oil temperature during intense sports driving, but the water temperature tends to rise easily. In our own tests, we collected data on a circuit where the car is driven under harsh conditions, both when a water-cooled oil cooler and an air-cooled oil cooler are used together, and when the car is driven only with an air-cooled oil cooler. As a result, we found that both the water temperature and the oil temperature were more stable when the genuine water-cooled oil cooler was used together with our air-cooled oil cooler, so we made a product that makes the most of both.

The oil cooler core is set up next to the radiator to prevent heat damage to the radiator and air conditioner condenser. In addition, the core body is equipped with a wind guide plate to direct the wind taken in from the front to the rear exhaust port inside the inner fender, maintaining stable cooling performance. The oil cooler core is made of aluminum, which is lightweight and has excellent heat dissipation properties, and the surface is painted with GReddy clear blue paint, which significantly improves durability and corrosion resistance. The oil block in the kit comes with a built-in thermostat as standard, which prevents overcooling in the winter and makes the oil cooler suitable for use all year round. In addition, by replacing the plug union with a separately sold sensor adapter (CODE: 16400720), it is possible to install a meter sensor later. *1/8PT size. Installing an oil cooler stabilizes the oil temperature, preventing rapid deterioration of the engine oil itself and maintaining its lubricating, cleaning, and rust-preventing properties, thereby extending its life.
