â–¶ Vehicle Fitments
Hawk's High Performance Street/Race Pads are designed for use on the road, as well as the track. Featuring engineering and technology from Hawk's racing programs, the pads provide a smooth, consistent brake pedal feel and superior brake rotor grab.
Ideal for aggressive street car owners who race their vehicle at autocross, open track and time trial racing events, the pads perform well at all temperatures. The pads feature a mechanical retention system (MRS), slotted friction, hot bond shim and pad chamfer for improved handling and confidence.
Features and Benefits
- Smooth braking feel
- Predictable control
- Delivers high deceleration rates
- Operating temperature: 100-1,200° F
- Aggressive torque
Brake pads are wear items and as such, should be inspected regularly and replaced as necessary. Pads should be replaced when approximately 1/8th inch of friction material remains on the steel backing plate.
Note:Â Even though Hawk Performance burnishes its brake pads as a final step in the factory, all brake pads have to be bedded-in with the rotors (new or used) that they will be used against. Properly bedding-in new brake pads results in a transfer film being generated at the pad and rotor interface to maximize brake performance.
