The ICON 78601DJ Delta Joint Upper Control Arm Kit is a high-performance suspension component designed for 2014-2018 GM 1500 trucks. Featuring ICON's patented Delta Joint, these upper control arms combine the strength of a heavy-duty high angle ball joint with the performance benefits of a traditional uniball. The Delta Joint’s zinc-plated housing offers excellent corrosion resistance, while a grease seal protects against harmful elements. Its metal-on-metal construction and greasable design enhance longevity and ensure noise-free operation. This innovative joint provides increased angularity and durability, making it a robust upgrade over standard control arms for demanding off-road and daily driving conditions.
Designed specifically for 2014-2018 GM 1500 models, including various cab and bed configurations, these control arms serve as direct replacements for factory components. They are suitable for trucks used in off-road, towing, or aggressive street driving, where enhanced articulation and durability are required. Installation is bolt-on, providing a straightforward upgrade for compatible vehicles. The kit includes the necessary control arms with Delta Joints, ensuring a reliable and long-lasting suspension upgrade that improves handling and articulation in challenging driving environments.

Overview
These upper control arms feature ICON's patented Delta Joint. The Delta Joint is a heavy duty high angle ball joint that combines the durability of a ball joint with the performance characteristics of a traditional uniball. While the industry standard uniball does a great job of allowing the control arms of a vehicle to articulate with little bind, they do have an inherent weakness that leaves more to be desired when used in a daily driven application - exposure to the elements. The Delta Joint features a zinc plated housing providing the first layer of corrosion resistance, while a tough grease seal keeps potentially harmful elements out of the inner workings of the joint. Metal on metal construction and a greasable design increase the longevity of the Delta Joint while at the same time allowing for noise-free operation. What makes the Delta Joint unique is that it brings the best of both worlds to ICON upper control arms with features that make it more robust than a uniball, and at the same time capable of greater angularity than a typical ball joint.
