The ICON 57826CP Rear 2.5 Series Shocks are high-performance suspension components designed specifically for the Toyota Tacoma RXT from 2005 to 2023. Built with one-piece impact extruded aluminum cylinders, these shocks provide a lightweight construction, enhanced corrosion resistance, and a uniform finish for durability and aesthetic appeal. Engineered for both off-road capability and street comfort, they deliver outstanding performance by offering precise damping control and a smooth ride. The shocks feature vehicle-specific tuning in length and damping, along with an internal “Bump Zone” created by a 6061 billet aluminum manifold, which adds 20% damping force to prevent harsh bottom-outs during high-velocity compression. The externally adjustable ICON CDC Valve allows for 10 levels of compression damping, enabling tailored suspension tuning for various driving conditions.
These shocks are designed as a direct bolt-on replacement for the rear suspension of the Toyota Tacoma RXT (2005-2023). ICON’s 2.5 Aluminum Series shocks are designed and built to give your vehicle outstanding performance off-road and a smooth ride on the street. With a truly vehicle-specific design, these shocks are configured specifically for each application in both length and damping tune. Featuring one-piece impact extruded aluminum cylinders, these 2.5 Aluminum Series shocks offer lighter weight, improved corrosion resistance, and a more uniform finish than traditional plated steel cylinders. Like all ICON shock absorbers, these 2.5 Aluminum Series shocks are 100% rebuildable and 100% revalveable. For piggyback and specific remote reservoir applications, ICON’s unique use of a 6061 billet aluminum manifold a few inches below the top cap of the shock creates an internal “Bump Zone” that when used creates an additional 20% of damping force. This additional force helps prevent harsh bottom-out conditions and controls the suspension effectively when compressing at high velocity. The ICON CDC Valve is an externally adjustable valve that restricts oil flow into the reservoir which creates 10 levels of compression damping force ranges.
