The Rugged Ridge HD Tie Rod & Drag Link Kit is a heavy-duty steering upgrade designed for Jeep XJ ZJ models from 1984 to 2006 and Jeep Wranglers. Constructed from true DOM tubing with a 1-1/4 inch outer diameter and a 1/4 inch wall thickness, the components are cold rolled, pierced, and drawn through dies to ensure strength and durability without seams or welds that could fail. The kit features 7/8 inch heavy-duty rod ends with tapered ends that fit stock knuckles, providing one-ton strength and enhanced durability for off-road wheeling with larger tires. It offers a bolt-on installation, preventing bent tie rods during aggressive off-road use, and requires no modifications to steering knuckles.

This steering kit is compatible with 1984–2006 Jeep XJ ZJ models and Jeep Wranglers, excluding Right Hand Drive vehicles and Factory Rubicon Wheels. It is not recommended for vehicles with over 4 inches of lift or with smaller OEM steel wheels or wheels with deep backspacing. Designed primarily for off-road and wheeling applications, it provides a robust upgrade for vehicles with stock or moderate lift setups.
