The Skyjacker 2002-2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Rear Wheel Drive Hydro Shock Absorber is a high-quality suspension component designed to improve ride comfort and handling. Featuring true velocity sensitive valving, this shock absorber precisely controls the compression and rebound of suspension springs, which manage the vehicle's response to bumps and loading. While the springs absorb the initial shock, the shock absorber's primary role is to control the energy stored in the springs, ensuring a smoother ride and enhanced stability. Constructed for durability and performance, this hydro shock absorber is engineered to withstand demanding driving conditions and provide consistent damping performance.

Designed specifically for 2002-2005 Dodge Ram 1500 models with rear wheel drive, this shock absorber is a direct replacement for the factory unit. It is suitable for use in everyday driving, off-road adventures, or towing applications where reliable suspension control is essential. The installation is straightforward, offering a bolt-on upgrade that restores or enhances the vehicle's ride quality. Compatible with the stock suspension setup, this shock absorber ensures optimal damping performance, contributing to improved handling, safety, and comfort during various driving scenarios.

Overview

Skyjacker(R) Suspensions offers you a high quality shock absorber with true velocity sensitive valving. Shock absorbers, or spring dampers as it is called everywhere else except in the U.S., control the rate at which suspension springs compress and rebound. As the shock is pushed together, this is called bump or compression. As the shock expands, this is called rebound or extension. Absorbing the ‘shock' of bumps and suspension loading is actually performed by the springs in the suspension. The shock's real job is controlling the energy stored in the springs.
