The Skyjacker 2007-2017 Jeep Wrangler (JK) Hydro Shock Absorber is a high-quality suspension component designed to enhance ride control and stability. Featuring true velocity sensitive valving, this shock absorber regulates the compression and rebound of suspension springs, effectively managing the energy transferred during bumps and loading. While the springs handle absorbing the shock of impacts, this shock's primary role is to control the rate at which the springs compress and extend, ensuring a smoother ride and improved handling. Constructed for durability and performance, it offers precise damping characteristics that contribute to off-road and on-road stability, making it an essential upgrade for Jeep Wrangler JK models.
Designed specifically for 2007-2017 Jeep Wrangler JK models, this hydro shock absorber is a direct replacement for the factory units. It fits vehicles equipped with standard suspension setups and is suitable for off-road, daily driving, and general use. Installation is straightforward, providing a bolt-on upgrade that enhances suspension response and ride quality. The kit includes the shock absorber with true velocity sensitive valving, ensuring optimal control and durability. This component is ideal for Jeep owners seeking reliable performance and improved handling across various terrains and driving conditions.

Overview
Skyjacker(R) Suspensions offers you a high quality shock absorber with true velocity sensitive valving. Shock absorbers, or spring dampers as it is called everywhere else except in the U.S., control the rate at which suspension springs compress and rebound. As the shock is pushed together, this is called bump or compression. As the shock expands, this is called rebound or extension. Absorbing the ‘shock' of bumps and suspension loading is actually performed by the springs in the suspension. The shock's real job is controlling the energy stored in the springs.
