The Skyjacker 4" 99-UP SuperDuty Gas Engine springs are high-performance leaf springs designed to enhance load-carrying capacity and ride quality for SuperDuty trucks from 1999 and onward. Constructed from American steel, each leaf is shot-peened with hard steel pellets at high velocities, which compresses the surface and increases tensile strength. This process ensures maximum wheel travel and improved ride comfort without compromising spring longevity. The springs feature bolt-style spring clips that eliminate friction, unlike traditional bend clips that can cause binding and reduce performance. Tapered along their entire length, these Softride springs distribute loads more evenly and provide increased flex at the leaf ends, reducing the risk of leaf dig-in and enhancing overall durability.
Designed specifically for 1999 and newer SuperDuty models, these springs are suitable for trucks requiring a 4-inch lift. They serve as direct replacements for stock springs, offering improved load support and ride quality for off-road, towing, or heavy-duty applications. Installation is straightforward as they are bolt-on components, compatible with the factory suspension setup. These springs are ideal for owners seeking increased ground clearance and enhanced handling capabilities on their SuperDuty trucks, whether for daily driving, off-road adventures, or heavy hauling.

Overview
Softride(R) springs use only American steel and the individual leafs of each spring are shot-peened with hard steel pellets at very high velocities. This shot-peening compresses the surface of the steel thereby increasing the tensile strength of the spring. Without this shot-peening procedure, the maximum wheel travel and ride quality could not be achieved without sacrificing the life of the spring. Softride(R) springs use bolt style spring clips, eliminating friction. Other spring designs use the c in. style bend clips which bend tightly over the spring leafs causing binding and friction. Skyjacker(R) Softride(R) springs taper over the entire length of the leaf creating more flex at the leaf ends. This tapering distributes loads more evenly over a greater area and reduces the tendency for one leaf to dig into the leaf above it.
