The Skyjacker Hydro Shock Absorber for 1986-1992 Jeep Comanche is a high-quality suspension component designed to enhance ride control and stability. Featuring true velocity sensitive valving, this shock absorber precisely controls the compression and rebound of suspension springs, which manage the absorption of bumps and suspension loads. While springs handle the energy storage, the shock's primary role is to regulate the rate at which this energy is released, ensuring a smoother ride and improved handling. Constructed for durability and performance, it offers reliable damping characteristics suitable for off-road and on-road driving conditions.

This shock absorber is specifically designed to fit 1986-1992 Jeep Comanche models, providing a direct replacement for factory units. It is compatible with vehicles equipped with the original suspension setup and is intended for use in daily driving, off-road adventures, or light towing. Installation is straightforward as a bolt-on upgrade, and the kit includes the necessary hardware for proper mounting. Suitable for enthusiasts seeking improved suspension response, this shock absorber enhances vehicle stability and comfort across various terrains.

Overview

Skyjacker(R) Suspensions offers you a high quality shock absorber with true velocity sensitive valving. Shock absorbers, or spring dampers as it is called everywhere else except in the U.S., control the rate at which suspension springs compress and rebound. As the shock is pushed together, this is called bump or compression. As the shock expands, this is called rebound or extension. Absorbing the ‘shock' of bumps and suspension loading is actually performed by the springs in the suspension. The shock's real job is controlling the energy stored in the springs.
