The Skyjacker Hydro Shock Absorber for 2011-2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD 4 Wheel Drive is a high-quality suspension component designed to enhance ride control and stability. Featuring true velocity sensitive valving, this shock absorber precisely controls the compression and rebound of suspension springs, which manage the energy transfer during bumps and loading. By controlling the rate at which the springs compress and extend, it improves handling, ride comfort, and durability under demanding conditions. Constructed to meet rigorous performance standards, this shock absorber helps absorb shocks from uneven terrain and heavy loads, ensuring a smoother driving experience and extended suspension life.

Designed specifically for 2011-2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD models with 4WD, this direct replacement shock absorber fits the chassis and suspension geometry of these trucks. It is suitable for off-road, towing, and heavy-duty applications where enhanced damping performance is required. The kit includes the shock absorber with true velocity sensitive valving, offering a reliable upgrade for stock or worn-out units. Installation is straightforward, providing a durable and performance-oriented solution for Silverado owners seeking improved ride quality and suspension control.

Overview

Skyjacker(R) Suspensions offers you a high quality shock absorber with true velocity sensitive valving. Shock absorbers, or spring dampers as it is called everywhere else except in the U.S., control the rate at which suspension springs compress and rebound. As the shock is pushed together, this is called bump or compression. As the shock expands, this is called rebound or extension. Absorbing the ‘shock' of bumps and suspension loading is actually performed by the springs in the suspension. The shock's real job is controlling the energy stored in the springs.
