The Skyjacker Leaf Spring for 1965-1978 Ford F-250 4 Wheel Drive is a high-performance suspension component designed to enhance load-carrying capacity and ride quality. Constructed with American steel, these Softride springs feature individual leafs that are shot-peened with hard steel pellets at high velocities, increasing tensile strength and durability. The tapering design throughout the length of each leaf allows for more flex at the ends, promoting even load distribution and reducing the risk of leaf binding. Bolt-style spring clips are used to eliminate friction and improve overall spring performance, ensuring maximum wheel travel and a smoother ride under demanding conditions.
This leaf spring is specifically engineered for 1965-1978 Ford F-250 models equipped with four-wheel drive. It serves as a direct replacement or upgrade for stock springs, suitable for off-road, towing, or heavy-duty applications where durability and performance are critical. The design ensures even load distribution and enhanced flexibility, making it ideal for vehicles subjected to challenging terrains or heavy loads. Installation is straightforward, with bolt-on compatibility for the specified model years, providing a reliable upgrade to improve vehicle handling and longevity.

Overview
Softride(R) springs use only American steel and the individual leafs of each spring are shot-peened with hard steel pellets at very high velocities. This shot-peening compresses the surface of the steel thereby increasing the tensile strength of the spring. Without this shot-peening procedure, the maximum wheel travel and ride quality could not be achieved without sacrificing the life of the spring. Softride(R) springs use bolt style spring clips, eliminating friction. Other spring designs use the c in. style bend clips which bend tightly over the spring leafs causing binding and friction. Skyjacker(R) Softride(R) springs taper over the entire length of the leaf creating more flex at the leaf ends. This tapering distributes loads more evenly over a greater area and reduces the tendency for one leaf to dig into the leaf above it.
