The Skyjacker Leaf Spring for 1966-1974 Ford Bronco 4 Wheel Drive is a high-performance suspension component designed to enhance ride quality and durability. Constructed from American steel, these Softride springs feature individual leafs that are shot-peened with hard steel pellets at high velocities, increasing tensile strength and ensuring maximum wheel travel. The design incorporates bolt-style spring clips, which eliminate friction and reduce binding issues common with other clip styles. Tapered along their entire length, these springs distribute loads more evenly across the leaf ends, providing improved flex and reducing the risk of leaf dig-in, resulting in a smoother, more controlled ride.
This leaf spring set is specifically engineered for 1966-1974 Ford Bronco models with 4WD systems. It serves as a direct replacement or upgrade for stock springs, suitable for off-road, daily driving, or heavy-duty use. The kit is designed to fit the original chassis and suspension setup, ensuring proper alignment and performance. Installation involves bolt-on mounting, making it a straightforward upgrade for enthusiasts seeking increased load capacity, ride comfort, and longevity. These springs are ideal for off-road adventures, towing, or improving overall vehicle handling in rugged conditions.

Overview
Overview
Softride(R) springs use only American steel and the individual leafs of each spring are shot-peened with hard steel pellets at very high velocities. This shot-peening compresses the surface of the steel thereby increasing the tensile strength of the spring. Without this shot-peening procedure, the maximum wheel travel and ride quality could not be achieved without sacrificing the life of the spring. Softride(R) springs use bolt style spring clips, eliminating friction. Other spring designs use the c in. style bend clips which bend tightly over the spring leafs causing binding and friction. Skyjacker(R) Softride(R) springs taper over the entire length of the leaf creating more flex at the leaf ends. This tapering distributes loads more evenly over a greater area and reduces the tendency for one leaf to dig into the leaf above it.
