The Skyjacker Leaf Spring for 1967-1972 GMC K1500 pickups is a high-performance suspension component designed to enhance load-carrying capacity and ride quality. Constructed with American steel, these Softride springs feature shot-peened individual leafs, which increase tensile strength and durability. The tapering design throughout the length of the leaf creates more flex at the ends, promoting even load distribution and reducing the risk of leaf binding. The use of bolt-style spring clips eliminates friction and binding issues common with other designs, resulting in smoother operation and longer spring life. These springs are engineered to maximize wheel travel and improve overall suspension performance, making them suitable for demanding off-road or heavy-duty applications.
Designed specifically for 1967-1972 GMC K1500 pickups, these leaf springs are a direct replacement for the factory components. They are compatible with trucks equipped with appropriate chassis and suspension setups, offering an upgrade for improved load handling and ride comfort. Ideal for off-road, towing, or heavy-duty use, these springs are easy to install as bolt-on replacements. The kit includes the necessary leaf springs and clips, ensuring a straightforward installation process. They are suitable for use in daily driving, off-road adventures, or work trucks requiring enhanced suspension durability and performance.

Overview
Overview
Softride(R) springs use only American steel and the individual leafs of each spring are shot-peened with hard steel pellets at very high velocities. This shot-peening compresses the surface of the steel thereby increasing the tensile strength of the spring. Without this shot-peening procedure, the maximum wheel travel and ride quality could not be achieved without sacrificing the life of the spring. Softride(R) springs use bolt style spring clips, eliminating friction. Other spring designs use the c in. style bend clips which bend tightly over the spring leafs causing binding and friction. Skyjacker(R) Softride(R) springs taper over the entire length of the leaf creating more flex at the leaf ends. This tapering distributes loads more evenly over a greater area and reduces the tendency for one leaf to dig into the leaf above it.
