The Skyjacker Leaf Spring for 1967-1980 Toyota Land Cruiser is a high-performance suspension component designed to enhance load capacity and ride quality. Constructed with American steel, these Softride springs feature shot-peened individual leafs, which increases tensile strength and durability. The shot-peening process involves blasting the steel surface with hard steel pellets at high velocities, compressing the surface to improve spring longevity and performance. Additionally, these springs utilize bolt-style spring clips that eliminate friction, unlike traditional bend clips that can cause binding. The tapering design along the entire length of the leaf creates more flex at the ends, distributing loads evenly and reducing the risk of leaf dig-in, resulting in improved wheel travel and ride comfort.

Designed to fit 1967-1980 Toyota Land Cruisers, these springs are a direct replacement for stock leaf springs on vehicles with compatible chassis and suspension setups. They are ideal for off-road use, heavy-duty applications, or vehicles requiring increased load capacity, providing enhanced flex and durability. Installation involves replacing the existing leaf springs with these bolt-on units, ensuring a straightforward upgrade. Suitable for daily driving, off-road adventures, or towing, these springs deliver improved performance and longevity for your Land Cruiser. The kit includes the necessary leaf springs, ready for installation on compatible models.

Overview

Softride(R) springs use only American steel and the individual leafs of each spring are shot-peened with hard steel pellets at very high velocities. This shot-peening compresses the surface of the steel thereby increasing the tensile strength of the spring. Without this shot-peening procedure, the maximum wheel travel and ride quality could not be achieved without sacrificing the life of the spring. Softride(R) springs use bolt style spring clips, eliminating friction. Other spring designs use the c in. style bend clips which bend tightly over the spring leafs causing binding and friction. Skyjacker(R) Softride(R) springs taper over the entire length of the leaf creating more flex at the leaf ends. This tapering distributes loads more evenly over a greater area and reduces the tendency for one leaf to dig into the leaf above it.
