The Skyjacker Leaf Spring for 1977-1993 Dodge W150 Pickup is a high-performance suspension component designed to enhance load capacity and ride quality. Constructed with American steel, these Softride springs feature shot-peened individual leafs, which increase tensile strength and durability. The shot-peening process involves bombarding the steel surface with hard steel pellets at high velocities, compressing the surface and extending spring life. The springs utilize bolt-style spring clips, eliminating friction and preventing binding issues common with other designs that use bend clips. Additionally, the springs taper along their entire length, allowing for more flex at the leaf ends, which distributes loads evenly and reduces the risk of leaf dig-in, resulting in improved wheel travel and overall ride comfort.
Designed specifically for 1977-1993 Dodge W150 pickups, these springs are a direct replacement for stock leaf springs on vehicles with compatible chassis and suspension setups. They are ideal for off-road use, heavy hauling, or daily driving where enhanced durability and load handling are required. The kit includes the necessary leaf springs with bolt-style clips for straightforward installation. Suitable for applications demanding increased flex and load distribution, these springs help maintain ride quality while extending spring life under demanding conditions.

Overview
Overview
Softride(R) springs use only American steel and the individual leafs of each spring are shot-peened with hard steel pellets at very high velocities. This shot-peening compresses the surface of the steel thereby increasing the tensile strength of the spring. Without this shot-peening procedure, the maximum wheel travel and ride quality could not be achieved without sacrificing the life of the spring. Softride(R) springs use bolt style spring clips, eliminating friction. Other spring designs use the c in. style bend clips which bend tightly over the spring leafs causing binding and friction. Skyjacker(R) Softride(R) springs taper over the entire length of the leaf creating more flex at the leaf ends. This tapering distributes loads more evenly over a greater area and reduces the tendency for one leaf to dig into the leaf above it.
