The Skyjacker Leaf Spring for 1989-1991 Chevrolet V1500 Suburban is a high-performance suspension component designed to enhance load-carrying capacity and ride quality. Constructed from American steel, these Softride springs feature individual leafs that are shot-peened with hard steel pellets at high velocities, increasing tensile strength and durability. The tapering design throughout the length of each leaf allows for more flex at the ends, promoting even load distribution and reducing the risk of leaf binding. The bolt-style spring clips eliminate friction points common in other designs, resulting in smoother operation and longer spring life. These features collectively improve wheel travel, ride comfort, and spring longevity, making them suitable for demanding off-road or heavy-duty applications.
Designed to fit 1989-1991 Chevrolet V1500 Suburban models, these springs are a direct replacement for stock leaf springs. They are ideal for vehicles used in towing, hauling, or off-road driving, where enhanced suspension performance is critical. The kit includes the necessary bolt-style clips for installation, ensuring a straightforward bolt-on upgrade. Compatible with the original chassis and suspension setup, these springs are engineered to provide increased load capacity and improved ride quality without sacrificing durability. They are suitable for daily driving, off-road adventures, or heavy-duty use, delivering reliable performance and extended spring life.

Overview
Overview
Softride(R) springs use only American steel and the individual leafs of each spring are shot-peened with hard steel pellets at very high velocities. This shot-peening compresses the surface of the steel thereby increasing the tensile strength of the spring. Without this shot-peening procedure, the maximum wheel travel and ride quality could not be achieved without sacrificing the life of the spring. Softride(R) springs use bolt style spring clips, eliminating friction. Other spring designs use the c in. style bend clips which bend tightly over the spring leafs causing binding and friction. Skyjacker(R) Softride(R) springs taper over the entire length of the leaf creating more flex at the leaf ends. This tapering distributes loads more evenly over a greater area and reduces the tendency for one leaf to dig into the leaf above it.
