The Skyjacker Leaf Spring for 1994-2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD is a high-performance suspension component designed to enhance load capacity and ride quality. Constructed from American steel, these Softride springs feature shot-peened individual leafs with hard steel pellets at high velocities, which increases tensile strength and durability. The tapering design throughout the length of each leaf allows for more flex at the ends, promoting even load distribution and reducing the risk of leaf binding. The use of bolt-style spring clips eliminates friction and binding issues common with other designs, resulting in smoother operation and longer spring life. This spring is engineered to maximize wheel travel and improve overall suspension performance, making it suitable for demanding off-road or heavy-duty applications.
Designed specifically for 1994-2001 Dodge Ram 1500 models with 4WD, this bolt-on leaf spring serves as a direct replacement for the factory suspension components. It is ideal for users seeking improved load handling, ride comfort, and spring longevity, especially in off-road or towing scenarios. The kit includes the necessary leaf springs and mounting hardware for straightforward installation. Compatibility is limited to the specified model years and drivetrain configuration, ensuring optimal fit and performance. This spring is suited for those looking to upgrade their stock suspension for enhanced durability and load-bearing capacity in demanding driving conditions.

Overview
Overview
Softride(R) springs use only American steel and the individual leafs of each spring are shot-peened with hard steel pellets at very high velocities. This shot-peening compresses the surface of the steel thereby increasing the tensile strength of the spring. Without this shot-peening procedure, the maximum wheel travel and ride quality could not be achieved without sacrificing the life of the spring. Softride(R) springs use bolt style spring clips, eliminating friction. Other spring designs use the c in. style bend clips which bend tightly over the spring leafs causing binding and friction. Skyjacker(R) Softride(R) springs taper over the entire length of the leaf creating more flex at the leaf ends. This tapering distributes loads more evenly over a greater area and reduces the tendency for one leaf to dig into the leaf above it.
