The Skyjacker Leaf Spring for 1994-2002 Dodge Ram 2500 4 Wheel Drive is a high-performance suspension component designed to enhance load-carrying capacity and ride quality. Constructed with American steel, these Softride springs feature shot-peened individual leafs, which are compressed with hard steel pellets at high velocities to increase tensile strength. This process ensures maximum wheel travel and improved ride comfort without compromising spring longevity. The springs utilize bolt-style spring clips, eliminating friction and preventing binding issues common with other designs. Tapered along their entire length, these springs distribute loads more evenly across the leafs, providing increased flexibility at the ends and reducing the risk of leaf dig-in, resulting in a smoother, more durable suspension.

Designed specifically for 1994-2002 Dodge Ram 2500 models with four-wheel drive, these springs serve as direct replacements or upgrades for stock leaf springs. They are ideal for off-road, towing, or heavy-duty applications where enhanced load support and ride quality are essential. The kit includes the necessary leaf springs and mounting hardware for straightforward installation. Compatible with trucks equipped with the appropriate chassis and drivetrain, these springs are suited for drivers seeking improved suspension performance and durability in demanding conditions.

Overview

Softride(R) springs use only American steel and the individual leafs of each spring are shot-peened with hard steel pellets at very high velocities. This shot-peening compresses the surface of the steel thereby increasing the tensile strength of the spring. Without this shot-peening procedure, the maximum wheel travel and ride quality could not be achieved without sacrificing the life of the spring. Softride(R) springs use bolt style spring clips, eliminating friction. Other spring designs use the c in. style bend clips which bend tightly over the spring leafs causing binding and friction. Skyjacker(R) Softride(R) springs taper over the entire length of the leaf creating more flex at the leaf ends. This tapering distributes loads more evenly over a greater area and reduces the tendency for one leaf to dig into the leaf above it.
