The Skyjacker Leaf Spring for 1994-2002 Dodge Ram 2500 4 Wheel Drive is a high-performance suspension component designed to enhance load capacity and ride quality. Constructed with American steel, these Softride springs feature shot-peened individual leafs, which increases tensile strength and durability. The shot-peening process involves bombarding the steel surface with hard steel pellets at high velocities, compressing the surface and extending spring life. Additionally, the springs utilize bolt-style spring clips, eliminating friction and binding issues common with other designs. The tapering along the entire length of each leaf allows for more flex at the ends, distributing loads evenly and reducing the tendency for leaves to dig into each other, resulting in improved wheel travel and ride comfort.
Designed to fit 1994-2002 Dodge Ram 2500 models with 4WD, these springs are a direct replacement for stock leaf springs. They are suitable for off-road, towing, or heavy-duty applications where enhanced load handling and ride stability are required. Installation involves replacing the existing leaf springs with these bolt-on units, ensuring compatibility with the vehicle’s chassis and suspension setup. The kit includes the necessary leaf springs and hardware, providing a straightforward upgrade for trucks needing increased durability and performance. These springs are ideal for users seeking reliable, long-lasting suspension components for demanding driving conditions.

Overview
Overview
Softride(R) springs use only American steel and the individual leafs of each spring are shot-peened with hard steel pellets at very high velocities. This shot-peening compresses the surface of the steel thereby increasing the tensile strength of the spring. Without this shot-peening procedure, the maximum wheel travel and ride quality could not be achieved without sacrificing the life of the spring. Softride(R) springs use bolt style spring clips, eliminating friction. Other spring designs use the c in. style bend clips which bend tightly over the spring leafs causing binding and friction. Skyjacker(R) Softride(R) springs taper over the entire length of the leaf creating more flex at the leaf ends. This tapering distributes loads more evenly over a greater area and reduces the tendency for one leaf to dig into the leaf above it.
