The Skyjacker Softride leaf springs are high-performance suspension components designed specifically for the 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 Classic 4WD. Constructed from American steel, these springs feature individual leafs that are shot-peened with hard steel pellets at high velocities, which enhances their tensile strength and durability. The tapering design throughout the length of each leaf allows for increased flex at the ends, promoting better wheel travel and ride quality. The use of bolt-style spring clips eliminates friction and binding issues common with other designs, resulting in smoother operation and longer spring life. These features collectively provide improved load distribution, increased load capacity, and enhanced ride comfort for demanding off-road or heavy-duty applications.
Designed as a direct replacement for the original leaf springs on 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 Classic models with 4WD, this kit is suitable for vehicles used in off-road, towing, or heavy-duty driving scenarios. It fits the specified year, make, and model, ensuring proper alignment and performance. Installation involves replacing the existing springs with these durable, shot-peened Softride springs, which are engineered to withstand rigorous use while maintaining ride quality. The kit includes the necessary components for a straightforward bolt-on upgrade, making it ideal for those seeking increased suspension strength and longevity without sacrificing ride comfort or handling.

Overview
Overview
Softride(R) springs use only American steel and the individual leafs of each spring are shot-peened with hard steel pellets at very high velocities. This shot-peening compresses the surface of the steel thereby increasing the tensile strength of the spring. Without this shot-peening procedure, the maximum wheel travel and ride quality could not be achieved without sacrificing the life of the spring. Softride(R) springs use bolt style spring clips, eliminating friction. Other spring designs use the c in. style bend clips which bend tightly over the spring leafs causing binding and friction. Skyjacker(R) Softride(R) springs taper over the entire length of the leaf creating more flex at the leaf ends. This tapering distributes loads more evenly over a greater area and reduces the tendency for one leaf to dig into the leaf above it.
