The Skyjacker Rear 5-inch Leaf Spring for 2017 Ford F-250 and F-350 4WD is a high-performance suspension component designed to enhance load-carrying capacity and ride quality. Constructed from American steel, these Softride springs feature shot-peened individual leafs with hard steel pellets at high velocities, which increases tensile strength and durability. The tapering design throughout the length of each leaf allows for more flex at the ends, promoting even load distribution and reducing the risk of leaf binding. Bolt-style spring clips are used to eliminate friction and binding issues common with other designs, resulting in smoother operation and longer spring life. These springs are engineered to provide maximum wheel travel and improved ride comfort under heavy loads or off-road conditions.
Designed for 2017 Ford F-250 and F-350 models with 4-wheel drive, these rear leaf springs are a direct replacement for stock components, offering a reliable upgrade for towing, hauling, or off-road use. They are suitable for vehicles that require increased load capacity and enhanced suspension performance. Installation involves replacing the existing leaf springs with these bolt-on units, ensuring a straightforward upgrade process. The kit includes the necessary springs and clips, providing a complete solution for improving rear suspension strength and flexibility. Ideal for heavy-duty applications, these springs deliver improved load support and ride quality for demanding driving conditions.

Overview
Overview
Softride(R) springs use only American steel and the individual leafs of each spring are shot-peened with hard steel pellets at very high velocities. This shot-peening compresses the surface of the steel thereby increasing the tensile strength of the spring. Without this shot-peening procedure, the maximum wheel travel and ride quality could not be achieved without sacrificing the life of the spring. Softride(R) springs use bolt style spring clips, eliminating friction. Other spring designs use the c in. style bend clips which bend tightly over the spring leafs causing binding and friction. Skyjacker(R) Softride(R) springs taper over the entire length of the leaf creating more flex at the leaf ends. This tapering distributes loads more evenly over a greater area and reduces the tendency for one leaf to dig into the leaf above it.
