Developed through Spoon Sports' Super Taikyu endurance racing program, the Spoon S-Tai Rear Bumper is a fully functional aerodynamic upgrade engineered specifically for the Honda Civic Type R FL5. Unlike cosmetic rear bumper replacements, the S-Tai Rear Bumper was designed using extensive track testing, CFD analysis, and real-world race data to improve airflow management, generate rear downforce, and enhance high-speed stability.

Constructed from lightweight FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic), the bumper features a full replacement design that allows Spoon engineers to optimize airflow around and underneath the vehicle. The central grille is engineered to reduce the "parachute effect" caused by trapped air behind the vehicle, while side vents release pressure from the wheel wells to create a pressure differential that contributes to increased downforce.

At the rear, integrated airflow guide plates function as a diffuser, accelerating underbody airflow and actively extracting air from beneath the vehicle. Working together with the diffuser's underbody flow management, the S-Tai Rear Bumper delivers improved aerodynamic efficiency, greater rear-end stability, and enhanced confidence at high speeds.
