The UMI Performance 64-72 GM A-Body 1in Lowering Spring Front - Set is a high-performance suspension component designed to improve handling and reduce ride height. Engineered in collaboration with a Sprint Cup chassis engineer, these springs are wound from 5160 CrSi premium wire and feature a linear 530 lb/in rate. They are stiffer than stock springs, providing increased performance with decreased body roll and a lower center of gravity. Constructed with a tough black powder coat finish, these springs are built for durability and consistent performance. They are suitable for auto-cross, pro-tour, corner carving, and cruising applications, offering a significant upgrade over stock components.
Designed for 1964–1972 GM A-Body vehicles, including models with standard SBC, aluminum head and intake Big Block, Pontiac 400, and LS engines, these springs are engineered for a 1-inch lowering. They serve as a direct replacement for the front springs, enhancing handling and stance. The springs are compatible with full weight Big Block applications when nose-down rake is desired. Installation is straightforward as a bolt-on upgrade, and lightened cars may require spring trimming. Designed in conjunction with a leading Sprint Cup chassis engineer, these springs are the best in the business. Our springs are wound from 5160 CrSi premium wire and feature a linear 530 lb/in rate. The 4050F’s are stiffer than stock to provide increased performance with decreased body roll and a lower center of gravity. These springs are suitable for Auto-x and Pro-Tour applications as well as corner carving/cruising. The ride height is engineered for a 1” lowering with standard SBC, aluminum head and intake Big Block and Pontiac 400 as well as LS power (lightened cars may require spring trimming). The 4050F’s are also suitable for full weight Big Block applications when nose down rake is desired. They have a tough black powder coat finish and UMI proudly manufactures these premium quality springs in the USA.
