The Wilwood Drilled Steel Rotor is a high-performance brake component designed for motorsports applications. Constructed from durable steel, this rotor features a 3-bolt mounting pattern with a .310-inch width and an 11-inch diameter, making it suitable for a variety of racing and high-performance vehicles. Its drilled design enhances heat dissipation and brake cooling, contributing to consistent braking performance during demanding conditions. Weighing approximately 4.7 pounds, this rotor offers a lightweight yet robust solution for vehicles requiring reliable stopping power. Its construction ensures durability under sustained low to moderate temperatures, making it ideal for intermittent high-heat spikes experienced in racing scenarios such as drag racing, sprint cars, or qualifying sessions.
This steel rotor is compatible with vehicles that utilize a 3-bolt mounting pattern and require an 11-inch diameter rotor with a .500-inch bolt hole spacing. It is suitable for various motorsport vehicles, including open-wheel cars and lightweight race cars, where durability and heat management are critical. Designed as a direct replacement or upgrade, it can be used in applications demanding high-performance braking under racing conditions. The kit includes the drilled steel rotor itself, ready for installation on compatible brake assemblies. Ideal for track use, racing, or high-performance driving, this rotor enhances braking efficiency and heat dissipation for improved safety and consistency during intense driving sessions.

Overview
Overview
Steel rotors have applications in all types of motorsports. Steel rotors provide a durable lightweight option in applications where sustained temperatures remain in the low to moderate range, and high heat spikes are only observed on an intermittent basis. This could be anything from a hard stopping drag race car at the end of a quarter mile, or a high speed stock car coming in from a qualifier at a super speedway. Steel rotors can also be found in lighter weight open wheel cars such as sprints and modifieds, and a variety of light weight, open wheel road course racers. A special alloy and proprietary manufacturing processes give these rotors high resistance to thermal distortion with excellent friction and wear characteristics against the pads.
Wilwood is a leading manufacturer of high-performance brake systems and components to fit a wide range of track and street applications. They offer everything from individual components like rotors, calipers, and pads to complete bolt-on kits.
Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures high-performance disc brake systems. Since the company’s inception in 1977 by Bill Wood, we have developed a substantial matrix of brake components and engineering techniques that allow us to quickly and reliably create brake systems for almost any application. Our core ability is the rapid development of custom engineered brake systems using a combination of off-the-shelf and custom components. In addition to designing and manufacturing brakes for all types of competitive motorsports, Wilwood also manufactures brake systems and components for agricultural equipment, industrial applications, utility vehicles, snowmobiles, quads, motorcycles and military vehicles.
With headquarters in Camarillo, California, Wilwood employs approximately 320 people. We have on-shelf stock of more than 300 different brake calipers, 200 rotor designs, 100 master cylinder designs and a wide assortment of brackets, fittings, valves and brake lines. Our off-shelf brake calipers range in size from tiny calipers used on go-carts and light duty industrial equipment to heavy-duty original equipment brakes for the U.S. military Humvee.
Wilwood's engineering department uses the latest computer-aided design and manufacturing techniques in conjunction with finite element analysis, dynamic test and cycle test equipment to find high-performance and reliability solutions for the most difficult braking tasks. Our extensive inventory of proprietary on-the-shelf components allow us to provide cost-effective solutions for unique brake applications.
Wilwood is ISO 9000 compliant and has extensive experience maintaining quality levels of 100ppm or less for original equipment manufacturers.
