The Wilwood GM Metric Race Caliper 2.00" Piston / 1.040 Rotor is a high-performance racing brake component designed for demanding motorsport applications. Constructed with a forged aluminum Type III hard anodized body and stainless steel pistons, this caliper offers exceptional strength and corrosion resistance. It features a choice of 2.50-inch or 2.00-inch pistons, providing versatile braking force options. The caliper is engineered for optimal volumetric efficiency and reduced deflection, making it a superior alternative to heavier cast models. Its design includes a centered fluid inlet port behind the piston, ensuring unobstructed slide pin clearance and consistent brake performance. This caliper is built to withstand the rigors of racing while delivering precise, reliable stopping power.
Designed for use with rotors ranging from 0.81 inches to 1.04 inches in thickness and up to 12.19 inches in diameter, the Wilwood D154-R caliper is suitable for various high-performance vehicles. It is compatible with a wide range of GM metric applications, particularly in racing setups requiring direct bolt-on upgrades. The caliper is ideal for track use, autocross, or other motorsport environments where maximum braking performance is essential. Installation involves direct mounting, and the kit includes the caliper body and necessary hardware. This caliper provides a robust, lightweight upgrade for race cars seeking improved braking efficiency and durability.

Overview
Overview
Wilwood's newest race caliper, the D154-R starts with a forged aluminum Type III hard anodized body with stainless steel piston. With a choice of 2.50â€_x009d_ or 2.00â€_x009d_ pistons and covering rotors from .81â€_x009d_ to 1.04â€_x009d_ thickness up to 12.19â€_x009d_ diameter. Caliper fluid inlet port centered directly behind the piston eliminates any interference with slide pins. Lower deflection rate and higher volumetric efficiency than all the competitions’ heavier cast models, D154-R calipers with a 2.50" piston weighs only 3.3 pounds and use standard metric D154 pads. Caliper mounting uses stock height and offset.
Wilwood is a leading manufacturer of high-performance brake systems and components to fit a wide range of track and street applications. They offer everything from individual components like rotors, calipers, and pads to complete bolt-on kits.
Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures high-performance disc brake systems. Since the company’s inception in 1977 by Bill Wood, we have developed a substantial matrix of brake components and engineering techniques that allow us to quickly and reliably create brake systems for almost any application. Our core ability is the rapid development of custom engineered brake systems using a combination of off-the-shelf and custom components. In addition to designing and manufacturing brakes for all types of competitive motorsports, Wilwood also manufactures brake systems and components for agricultural equipment, industrial applications, utility vehicles, snowmobiles, quads, motorcycles and military vehicles.
With headquarters in Camarillo, California, Wilwood employs approximately 320 people. We have on-shelf stock of more than 300 different brake calipers, 200 rotor designs, 100 master cylinder designs and a wide assortment of brackets, fittings, valves and brake lines. Our off-shelf brake calipers range in size from tiny calipers used on go-carts and light duty industrial equipment to heavy-duty original equipment brakes for the U.S. military Humvee.
Wilwood's engineering department uses the latest computer-aided design and manufacturing techniques in conjunction with finite element analysis, dynamic test and cycle test equipment to find high-performance and reliability solutions for the most difficult braking tasks. Our extensive inventory of proprietary on-the-shelf components allow us to provide cost-effective solutions for unique brake applications.
Wilwood is ISO 9000 compliant and has extensive experience maintaining quality levels of 100ppm or less for original equipment manufacturers.
